Ok, As mentioned in previous threads by myself, I'm just delving into electronic music production. I'm currently using a very outdated PC with software-based keyboard for basic editing in Reason. I think it's about time for some updated hardware so I need opinion/suggestions on Laptops and Midi Keyboards. So far I have picked out a dell Laptop (Inspiron 1501) for £479 and either: thisthis 2or thisThe budget for the midi keyboard is a max of about £80. I'm also going to need some headphones and/or speakers - budget of about £40 for that. Thanks for everyone's advice, Phil.

i would recomend you the 4 octave keyboards, cause at some time u would be happy to play over more than 2 octaves so my suggestion would be the M-Audio Oxygen, coze u have some more assignable controlers on it. might be helpful in the future, if u get rid of making automation by mouse hope i could help a little bit.. //
