^^^thanks for that, i'll be sure to check it out...
anyway,
i use IK Multimedia's SampleTank alot. It has a great range of piano patches that seem to really fit nicely into dance music.
I also use my M1 to get that classic house piano sound when i need it, and the concert grand from Nexus for my solo/jazz pieces.
Other than that, you can pretty much tweak ANY piano patch to sound great with a little bit of clever EQ'ing and fx.
I think that it mainly comes down to a confidence thing. The reason alot of people seem to strugle with pianos (or even strings for that matter) is because they are so engrained in our minds as to what they "sound like" that you're always referencing it against something in your head that dosn't actually exist. The core of a piano sound will always sound like a piano (essentially) but a synth can sound like anything....there's no initial mental reference sound. You've just gotta be happy and say "hey, it dosn't sound exactly like the piano in I Found You, but it's pretty good, and it's still a piano, so let's leave it and see if it works...you'll find if you come back the next day, it will sound really good, as you're no longer comparing it to another piano.
That's just my thoughts anyway.
good luck.
